"Fresh dairy every time"
I order from Food Basics regularly , and the dairy has been really good . The milk usually has lots of time before it expires , and the yogurt and cheese always show up fresh . I have not had anything smell weird or arrive spoiled so far , which makes ordering groceries online way less annoying .

"Pretty smooth, surprisingly"
I used foodbasics.ca for my weekly grocery shop it went smoother than I expected. I was able to find everything quickly, changing items in my cart wasn’t a hassle, and the pickup time options were clear. Kind of makes you wonder why some other grocery sites make the same thing feel so complicated. No real issues on my end.

"Self-checkout was a bit frustrating"
I used the self-checkout at Food Basics it was kind of annoying. The machine kept saying the item wasn’t recognized even though I had scanned it properly, so I had to wait for staff a few times. They seemed busy already, so I don’t really blame them, but still... it made everything take way longer than it should’ve. I do like the prices here, and that’s probably why I keep coming back, but the checkout area really needs some work. I left feeling frustrated, like..

"Helpful for Quick Stock Checks"
I’ve been using Food Basics lately to check if things are in stock before I head out, usually when I’m making a grocery list after dinner or before running errands. It’s been good so far. Most of the items I normally buy show up as available, and it saves me from making a pointless trip when something isn’t there. Nothing fancy, but it’s simple and actually helpful.

"Good quality meat every time"
I’ve been ordering meat from Food Basics for a little while now, it’s been solid. The chicken packs always show up fresh and don’t have that weird smell some places can have. The ground beef has a nice colour too, not dry, I mean not all watery like I’ve seen elsewhere. Prices are fair, which helps. I made burgers and a roast last week, and both turned out really good. No complaints from me, I’ll definitely keep ordering from them.

"Great treats, but wow the prices"
I stopped in the buns were super fresh and the cakes tasted really good. I was all happy and ready to come back soon... then I saw the prices and my mood changed real quick. Still tasty, just a bit pricey for what you get.

"Flyer prices actually matched"
I checked the Food Basics flyer online before heading over, and the sale prices were the same in the store, which was nice. No weird suprise at checkout or anything. I used a couple promos on pantry stuff and some fruit, and they all scanned right. just makes shopping way easier when the website is actually accurte

"I come here often for fruits…"
I come here often for fruits and veggies, and most of the time I’m happy with what I get. The produce is usually fresh and holds up for a few days once I bring it home, which is nice. The prices are reasonable too. That said, the berries can be a little inconsistent, sometimes they’re great, other times they go bad faster than I’d like. Overall though, it’s still a solid spot for produce

"Price was different at checkout"
The shelf price didn’t match what rang up at checkout, which was annoying. I had to deal with that whole thing, and it just made the trip more frustrating than it needed to be

"Decent Prices, But the Store Needs to Be Cleaner"
I shop at Food Basics from time to time, and to be fair, the prices are usually good. But on my last visit to the store near me, the cleanliness really stood out in a bad way. There were spills on the floor, the carts looked dirty, and a few aisles had a strange smell. I don’t expect everything to be perfect, but I do think it’s reasonable to expect a basic level of cleanliness when buying groceries. Hopefully the store can give this a bit more attention.

I was just there recently, and finding everything by aisle was really easy. It made the whole trip quicker than I expected, and based on that visit, I’d definitely say it’s a convenient place to shop

"Helpful staff, but the wait was a bit much"
The staff was nice and did help me find what I needed, so I’ll give them that. But I was kind of left waiting around longer than I expected, which was a little frustrating. It wasn’t a bad experience overall, but it definitely felt like they could’ve been more on top of things.

"Easy Parking, No Complaints"
The parking spots are actually good, and I was able to get in and out without much hassle. that kind of convenience matters to me, if parking ever becomes a headache, I’d probably start going somewhere else.

"Quick Stop After Work"
I stopped in after work and had a good feeling about it right away because the checkout line was actually moving. I barely had to wait, and the cashier was quick without making it feel rushed. Just one of those grocery trips that goes smoothly, which is always a win when you’re tired and just want to get home.

It’s kind of a mixed bag. Sometimes everything shows up on time and it’s totally fine, but other times it’s late for no clear reason. I get the feeling they might prioritize certain orders or customers, because the inconsistency feels a little intentional sometimes. Not terrible, just not something I’d fully count on if timing really matters...

"Got It Sorted, Just Took a Bit"
I had to reach out to Food Basics about something with my online order. They did get back to me, but it took longer than I expected and I ended up having to follow up once. The person who replied was friendly enough and fixed it in the end. It wasn’t awful or anything, just not as quick as I hoped. Average overall.

"Glad I Checked the Flyer First"
I had a feeling it was worth checking the flyer before I went shopping, i’m glad I did. I ended up saving a decent amount on stuff I was already planning to buy. Just one of those small things that feels like a smart move after the fact.
